A child enrolling in school for the first time in either kindergarten or first grade must present to the principal the following prior to enrollment:
- Certified Birth Certificate
- Social Security Card
- Certificate of Immunization
- Proof of Residency in Crenshaw County

Admission will be granted to a first time transfer student when the principal of the receiving school determines the following:
- Certified Birth Certificate
- Proof of residency in Crenshaw County and living with a parent or legal guardian
- The student is eligible for continued enrollment at the school the student is transferring from and is not suspended or expelled
- Student's transcript and other records have been received directly from the school, verified and on file at the receiving school
- The student's immunization form is on file
- The student Social Security number is on file

A transfer student seeking to enroll in a Crenshaw County School shall be admitted temporarily by meeting the following requirements:
- Proof of residency in Crenshaw County and living with a parent or legal guardian
- Recent report card or release form from the last school attended
- Copy of immunization form
- Social Security number
