Crenshaw County School District :: Welcome

Mr. Randy Wilkes, Superintendent of Education
Mr. William R. Wilkes (Randy)

Welcome to the Crenshaw County Public School System website.  Our school system consists of three pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade schools. They are located on U.S. Highway 331 and are from north to south, Highland Home, Luverne, and Brantley Schools. Each school takes pride in its rich history of tradition. The vision of our system is "to provide the highest quality of education for all students." Each school serves as the focal point for both educational and community activities and is dedicated to the system's motto of "United for Excellence."  The pre-kindergarten through 12th grade enrollment of 2,296 is accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).  The System and each school meets Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) standards.  Sixty percent of the system's student population receives free or reduced meals.  All three schools in the Crenshaw County Public School System are Title I Schoolwide Projects.  All schools participate in the Alabama Reading Initiative (ARI).  All schools are Alabama Math, Science and Technology Initiative (AMSTI) schools.  All schools have an ACCESS/DL IVC Lab.  We have NO schools identified for School Improvement (SI).  The District made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for the 2009-2010 school year.

Our hope is that as you navigate this website you gain a greater understanding about the Crenshaw County Public School System.  We hope that you recognize how proud we are of our school system. Preparing students for life is our focus.  Please feel free to email me or other CCBOE Employees with your suggestions for improvement.
